An Amish Pennsylvania couple sold their 14-year-old child to a 51-year-old Feasterville man named Lee Kaplan in 2012. Daniel Stoltzfus, 43, and his wife Savilla Stoltzfus, 42, said that they had to give up their daughter to Kaplan since he helped them save their farm.

Upon further investigation, the police found 11 other girls inside Kaplan’s home along with the Stoltzfus’ daughter who turned out to have had given birth to two children, both fathered by the suspect. 
Their neighbor Jen Bets was the one who complained to the police about the apparent child abuse happening in Kaplan’s house.
“It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing. There were signs,” Bets reported.
Kaplan faced multiple charges such as statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault on a person below 16, corruption of minors, and contact with a minor involving sexual offenses, according to reports. 
“(She was) too young to be the wife, too old to be holding his hand,” Bets said after seeing Kaplan with the girls on the street. “I just want them to get help and get back and be happy. They’re so sad and fearful every time I see them. That’s what made me call,” added Bets.
